MARITIME VESSEL TOURISM: A CATALYST FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN COASTAL STATES

In this paper the economic potential of tourism by ships has been presented as one of the vehicles by which coastal states can achieve sustainable development. It reviews the principal catalysts for this particular area of the economy such as a growing demand for ocean products, technological advancement, and increased integration of sustainable development goals. This narrative speaks to some of the challenges that need to be met by coastal nations to harness this economic opportunity.
