Abstract:

The article examines the problem of how we use resources, the degradation and reduction of the natural capital that will be available to support the well-being of future generations. To ensure a good quality of life and long-term prosperity, we need to make our economy green, and the transition must start today. But how can we achieve this? How do we transform our economy into one that protects the environment while providing a good quality of life? To begin with, the economy must become more resource efficient. In practice, we will have to get more from less. We need to reduce the amount of resources we extract and use.
