Development of specialized types of tourism in small bulgarian municipalities: the case of Yablanitsa, Lukovit, and Teteven

The article examines the development of specialized forms of tourism in the small Bulgarian municipalities of Yablanitsa, Lukovit, and Teteven. The focus is on alternative tourism products such as ecotourism, agritourism, cultural tourism, and adventure tourism, which leverage the rich natural and cultural heritage of these regions. Through an analysis of both natural and anthropogenic resources, the article evaluates the potential for sustainable tourism development. The study highlights the importance of balancing economic growth with the preservation of local identity and environmental conservation, and it provides recommendations for enhancing tourism infrastructure and cooperation between local authorities and businesses.
